After three weeks of fierce competition, fanfare and display
of rich African cultures, the 26th MTN Africa Cup of Nations
finally wrapped up in the Ghanaian capital, Accra. The
tournament which will be most remembered by the number
of records, concluded with the Egyptians defeating Cameroon
after a scintillating encounter. The Egyptians players
danced and joined in the beating of drums during the closing
ceremony, as the Cameroonians looked on in disbelief and
disappointment. It was the second time that the Indomitable
Lions fell to the Pharaoh's during this year's tournament

Super Eagles Ghana '08 what went wrong?
Nigeria's poor showing at the nation's cup in Ghana was
not only terrible, but a disgrace to the nation and their
loyal supporters worldwide. Many of my friends in the
media are asking me what went wrong with your Super Eagles.
Like every disappointed Nigerian, I could not give reasons
good enough as they keep taking me back to the days when
the Eagles took the world by storm with high level energy,
cohesive play and mesmerizing skills displayed by Okocha's,
Amunike and the rest of the team, the memory still lives
