Brazil | celebrates back to back victories
in 2007 Copa America
Brazil came to this tournament as a favorite - a favorite to
lift the cup. However, their first game against Mexico was a
dissaster. Their coach Dunga knew the boys needed to do something
immediately so in order to give satisfaction to brazilian workers

Their opponent in the final was Argentina - their bitter rival
as well as a team with pedigree, and character. Despite this
competition, the Brazilian team stunned the world as they outplayed
the Argentineans in every department of the game. It took only
four minutes for Julio Baptista to deliver a clinical strike
that beat the Argentina goalkeeper Roberto Abbondanzieri to
the net and register Brazil's first goal. Argentina fought desperately
to gete an early equalizer, but met a technically sound Brazilian
side. [ see issue for more ]
