Leicester City are weighing up a move for Canadian international striker Simeon Jackson.
Currently with League One side Gillingham, Jackson has become something of an icon at Priestfield Stadium after scoring the winning goal in the League Two playoff final against Shrewsbury Town in May. He also had both goals in the Gills 2-0 semifinal win over Rochdale.
Born in Kingston, Jamaica, the 22-year-old is quickly becoming one of Canada’s go-to forwards and has featured in all three matches at the ongoing CONCACAF Gold Cup. He scored his first international goal in a 1-0 win over Cyprus on May 30.
Leicester are rumored to be willing to pay upwards of 1.5 million pounds for Jackson. He joined Gillingham from Rushden and Diamonds last summer.
